I was impressed by the fact that over a hundred medical institutions in Taiwan had adopted AMED’s products. This alignment with the company’s mission and the opportunity to ride the wave of AI in the medical device industry inspired me to join Acer Medical. Job Responsibilities: I play a key role in defining product value and identifying target customers. My responsibilities also include clarifying user scenarios, conducting competitive analysis, and defining product specifications. I draft feature lists, collaborate with the team on development plans, and oversee functional testing, while also extending QMS and registration documentation. Additionally, I plan and secure QMS certification for our medical devices. Perspectives on AI Application in Healthcare: As the healthcare AI ecosystem is still taking shape, we are positioned at the forefront of this emerging trend. The applications of AI in healthcare are incredibly broad, ranging from preventive care to post-treatment support, offering valuable assistance to both doctors and patients. I am eager to see how we can eventually integrate health and daily life into a cohesive ecosystem. Organizing and conducting a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session is a common practice in the medical distribution industry. The main purpose is to provide healthcare professionals with the latest industry updates or introduce new products, and of course, refreshments are provided (because Malaysians love food). When I conduct a CME, I always remind myself to bring value to the audience, whether the impact is big or small. First and foremost, I aim to engage them throughout the session instead of letting them daydream until the end. Engaging the audience starts before the presentation. I always mingle with them by greeting and trying to find out what problems they are currently facing and what they are seeking. This helps me tailor my product or solution to their needs during the presentation. I also try to localize my presentation to align with the customer's perspective, ensuring they feel comfortable engaging and staying with me throughout the session. What I did in this presentation was genuinely believe in the product I was offering, knowing it could ease the problems the customers might be facing currently and possibly in the near future. Sales is just another name for problem-solving, and the real sales cycle starts when support comes after the sale.
