The earliest records of rose cultivation in China date back to the Tang Dynasty, when a monk named Cijing is said to have planted roses in Pingyin. By the Qing Dynasty, roses were widely cultivated around Cuiping Mountain and along the Yudai River. According to historical records, Empress Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty drank rose nectar every day and applied rose petals to her skin at night, while Yang Guifei often bathed in roses to preserve her beauty.

Rose Skin Care Praised for Thousands of Years

Brand Story

As the ancient birthplace of roses in the world, China is home to Pingyin, the best region for rose cultivation.

Pingyin roses have a long history of cultivation and are renowned for their high beauty and nutritional value, earning them the reputation as the “Eastern Rose.”

By chance, Li Zhigang, a young man from the flower fields, discovered that Pingyin roses were primarily supplied to domestic luxury skincare manufacturers but rarely appeared on the international market, which deeply disappointed him.

To better convey the powerful skincare benefits of local ingredients to more people and help women worldwide improve their skin issues, Li Zhigang collaborated with a professional research team. Drawing on China's thousand-year-old rose skincare culture and leveraging the unique advantages of his hometown's 274.2-acre rose field, he extracted the essence and harnessed the energy to create a new Chinese national brand—ORIENTFRAG!

Zhi Gang stated: Moving forward, he will remain true to his original aspirations, uphold craftsmanship in research and development, leverage the advantage of “own rose fields and rose beauty care,” and collaborate with the ORIENTFRAG brand's postdoctoral laboratory team to create products that global women want to use, enjoy using, and even recommend. He aims to provide every woman with a better skincare experience and create a rose-infused, beautiful life!
