It’s the perfect, nonsurgical anti-aging solution for those wanting to instantly look younger and improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity.

Schedule a ConsultationHow Does It Work?
The Plasma Concepts Pen uses plasma to transfer a small electrical arc to the surface of the skin. The electrical arc heats the skin and makes slight disruptions throughout the skin’s layers, instantly tightening saggy, textured, and wrinkled skin.
The “fused” areas of skin stimulate fibroblasts, the body’s collagen-producing cells. This increases the body’s collagen production which completely renews the skin’s surface, revealing tighter, brighter, and more youthful skin in just a matter of days!

Frequently Asked Questions
Unlike similar products on the market, the Plasma Concepts Pen is made in Germany and is FDA certified. Competitor’s devices can be purchased from China and aren’t true plasma technology. These are not suitable for professional use and can be extremely dangerous! No, treatment is not typically painful. The skin is numbed with topical agents prior to treatment. Most clients report minimal to no discomfort, and often describe the treatment as tingly. Plasma Lift results are impressive and immediate. You will typically see improvement right after treatment. But, the best results are typically after the treated areas have completely healed, which is around 7 – 10 days. In the following days after your treatment, it is normal for the treated area to feel tight and dry. Occasional weeping from the treated areas will settle and scabs will begin to form. These small scabs may be visible for about a week. DO NOT pick scabs off as this will delay the healing process and may cause scarring.
When the scabs have fallen off, the skin of the treated area may appear pink. This is normal as it is new, rejuvenated skin. This pinkness will fade over the following weeks. During this period of healing, you MUST wear sun protection of at least SPF40 and should continue to do so for at least 12 weeks.
Consult with your Medical Aesthetician over the course of the healing process to ensure the best results. We will walk you through the aftercare process once your treatment has been completed. You do not want to expose the treated area to any heat, moisture, or other irritants for at least 7 days. That means:
- No face washing
- No direct submersion in water (including showers)
- No exercise or activity that may cause sweating
- No makeup
- No face creams or moisturizers
- No icing or ice packs on treated areas
- No additional facial treatments
- No shaving of the treated areas
- No smoking or alcohol
- No saunas or sunbeds
The treated areas may be cleansed daily with warm water and a lint-free cloth. You are only removing excess oils and do not need to thoroughly clean the area. Use the Factor Five aftercare serum on your treatment areas as directed by your Medical Aesthetician. For most patients, only one treatment of a certain area is needed to receive the desired effect. Results of a single Plasma Lift procedure can last for years, and in some cases, last permanently!
Additional areas may have to treated in order to achieve an overall desired effect. Consult your Medical Aesthetician to discuss which options are best for you. Unfortunately, some people might not be suitable for treatment. Darker skin tones (African American, African, Latin, Native American, Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian ancestry, and people of mixed ethnicities) may not be good candidates for Plasma Lift.
Here at the Aesthetic Center, we are committed to safe and effective treatments for all. When in doubt, we don’t risk it! We do not provide this treatment on Fitzpatrick skin types 4 – 6.

How Does Plasma Lifting Work?
This device has a small tipped applicator, which emits an electrical discharge. About 1mm above the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed, producing precise arcs of plasma, which will be used to create a pinpoint, grid like pattern over the treatment area. This micro trauma will cause the top layers of the skin to contract and tighten. At the same time, heat is transmitted to the deeper levels, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin fibers that diminish with age.
Who Is A Candidate For Plasma Lifting?
Anyone looking to improve overall skin concerns such as skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles, pigment concerns, or stretch marks could benefit from this treatment. The treatment works best on light to medium complexions. It is not recommended on very dark skin. Darker skin has a higher risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypo-pigmentation (light spots) following treatment. It is also contraindicated for pregnant or nursing patients.
What Areas Of The Body Can Be Treated With Plasma Lifting?
It can treat most areas of the face and body. More dramatic results are achieved in the facial and neck areas including: upper and lower eyelids, crow’s feet, glabella frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, marionette lines, jowl/jawline tightening, nasolabial folds, neckline & neck, upper lip lines, lower lip. It can also treat acne scars, stretchmark’s, skin tags, keloids, freckles, and age spots.
What Is The Downtime After Having Plasma Lifting?
After treatment, you can expect swelling and redness. Swelling will begin to subside around day four and scabs will form. These scabs will begin to flake off around day six. It is very important to not pick or rub these scabs and allows them to fall off on their own. Downtime for the face and neck will average about 10 days and 14 to 16 days for body treatments.
Is Plasma Lifting Painful?
The treatment will be mildly to moderately painful depending on the patients’ tolerance and area of treatment. Numbing cream is used to decrease discomfort. We also offer Pro-Nox, a nitrous oxide & oxygen analgesic (laughing gas) to help relieve procedure discomfort an anxiety. Most patients tolerate treatment very well.
Are There Any Risks With Plasma Lifting?
As it is a non-surgical procedure, the risks are minimal.
Swelling will be normal and expected, there is very minimal risk of slight bruising, skin discoloration and scarring. It is crucial to find a professionally trained practitioner to perform this procedure to minimize any possible risks.
When Will I See Results From Plasma Lifting?
Some immediate tightening will be evident. Gradual improvement will occur over a period of 12 weeks. Although one treatment is usually all that is needed, sometimes a second treatment may be required depending on desired results. Results can last approximately three years, but in some cases can be permanent. It is important to remember that aging continues, therefore future maintenance treatments might be required.
